this may sound silly but im worried,
i drove home last night with next to nothing in the tank,
i cant remember where,but i heard that if a injection runs dry its a bugger to get going again,pressuring the system etc?
i dont rly wanna walk to a garage in the pissing rain with a can,

You won't have to pressurise the system if the tank runs dry but its not a good idea as you could pick up any sediment etc in the bottom of t he tank.

Won't it re-pressurise when you come to start it again?

the ECU does a "prime" when the ignition is first turned on (you'll hear the pump run for about 1 second) this repressurises the system under normal circumsances

however its not infact needed as i have a few kill switches fitted and one of them is connected to teh fuel pump;

if i try to start the car with the pump off it obviously doesnt start - if i then flick it on with the ignition still on (ie no pressure since its been trying to crank and no prime cos switch was off when the ecu did the prime) then it normally starts after a turn or two more than normal

so it will repressurise itself during cranking
