lads ive been given one of these rc cars that runs on petrol,it was working perfect yesterday with brand new batterys etc....then my mate drove the shagin thing threw a puddle,now thw steering or throttle wont work....ive sat it in the warmest room in the house beside the rad overnight and it still no worky.....is it wa nk ed?

really a petrol one.... or you mean nitro? lol.


Sounds like there is water in receiver pack (and probably the servos, but they can take a little bit of wet). Take the electronics out and leave those in a warm place for a few days. Failing that a new receiver and servos are pretty cheap thesedays

yeah nitro or watever its called,ill try that and see what happens,no biggie if it dont work as i got it for nothing,and its second hand,thanks for the help

take all the electrics out and disconect the batery. leave it to dry for a few days and should be ok.

yeh do this its probs the reciever, i used to race 1/10th scale professionally, weekly lol but now moved onto bigger things (nova) iv got loads of recievers n ****e lying around so if it still dont work ile send u one of them if u want, pm me if u want it. also check tht the crystals are in properly. also if u turn it on and try to move the wheels left to right if it fights back the servos are fine its the reciever!

i would not put petrol in it.

check the RX on/off switch isnt full of water and/or corroded. and check the battery contacts are clean. there is a lot of salt about at this time of year...

ive bypassed the switch thinkin it may have been at fault,but at the moment i have the reciever in the boiler shed ill leave it there for a few days and see whats what....

lol just without the reciever unit its worth more than a tenna the engines probs worth 3/4 times tht and wat make is it mate?
