As some of you know I had plans to remove my wheel well. Well I discussed it with my welder (girlfriends dad ;) ) and decided the best way forward was to create a tunnel thus retaining strength in the boot floor, and here is the result   . ~(Ignore the rottern boot, got another just waiting to get boot and bumper painted).

Only draw back is I ncant get over speed bumps at the mo due to the zorst catching. I have 195/40's on the back and I hope that by going upto 195/45 or 195/50 it will be fine :)

Pete.

P.S. Thanks to Colin aka Novarally for the parts :thumb:

Edited :p . (sorry colin)

It 100% less chavy than it was before with the novadose rear end, I do have a GSI rear bumper which this one basically is but it doesn’t sit right with the zorst..

Keeping that bumper, just have a new boot and they will both be painted to match.

Original bumper and slightly smaller tailpipe would look nuts.

Then it would be the same as dars, I like it how it is  . Am I the first to make a tunnel?

you are aware that the wheel well offers NO structural additions (aslong as your rear slam isnt rotten) so tunneling it "to keep strength" was a waste of time :D

No! Moles probably where lol

I don't mind the exhaust but do agree it looks a tad excessive. If you like it though then thats what matters :D

Your right and I like that you have gone a different route :thumb: I haven't seen anyone else do a tunnel so I think you might be the first. Looks like a tidy well thought out job

Stu - It wont sag in the middle at all, which can happen with just a flat sheet. Plus he now has some extra little cubby holes in the boot :D

Thanks dar :thumb: .

Your right, I do have a cubby hole which will contain a can of tyre weld and a fag lighter pump as I have no space for a spare now. Then something over the top to make it look tidy

looks like some good work but i think the way that mine and Dars is done is alot easyer plus ive still got a spare wheel/jack and centre exit exhaust.

Mark Beesons has had a tunnel for years. Sorry.

As said would look better without the heatshield on the bumper.
