Broke in transit (well, Movano!)

I picked up my engine this morning, the only thing is i broke the distributor cap. would my 1.2 dizzy cap be ok for the 1.6 8v? the 1.2 was not injected, the 1.6 is!

the dizzy cap should be fine as long as its the same ( ie do they look the same) - if it physically fits then your all good

the dizzy itself is not - the 1.6 uses a different sensor to the 1.2 for the trigger

the cap on my 1.4 is different to a 1.3 dizzy cap

so you may find it is different

if it ent physically different in shape and itll fit, try it, wont do no harm - not very expensive anyway

mike i had a 1.4 cap on mine and it work.
im throwing it out now in any case,
and there a full 7.99 from hailfords,.
