Whats been your most memorable moment behind the wheel in 2002?
I've passed my test this year, but my most memorable moment was in October.
It was a Thursday, I'd been driving all day delivering orders for where my Brother works. I was in a White 1992 Mk3 Astra Estate 1.7D, the second slowest car I've ever driven.
I had done two deliveries in Shrewsbury and I was driving South Towards a Village called Church Stretton, on the A49. It's a great place near the Welsh Borders. It was a bright Sunny day and The roads were fairly quiet, straight and flat. The ultimate moment came as I was listening to a CD I found in the car. The song that came on was Little Baby Nothing by the Manic Street Preachers. I turned the stereo up full and went alot faster.
I know it sounds Stupid but I enjoyed myself, I got paid ?40 too.

Mine was in my mate's XR3, It's was a July day and about 30 degrees. We got a 135mph out of it before we ran out of road(the car was still giving more). The XR3 had been slightly tuned  .

mine was coming out of tescos car park after chatting with my mates and watching a mate do hand brake turns and pissing about, came outa car park following my 2 mates and a police car folowed my second mate, so i quickly pulled into petrol station, after 5 mins i carried on, saw my 2 mate pulled over with the police's lights flashing, drove past at sped limit whilest p!ssing myself, well funny!
The trip to Trax
Stayed at billing aquadrome, met up with alot of the regulars,
the drive to silverstone was also good, was last in the convoy (wont be next year lads!) got stuck in traffic on entry to silverstone, it was gr8 bein part of a load of seriously modified cars! Also being behind Ian Storey goin through the short tunnel at silverstone, yes mr. Storey, ur exhaust was loud through that tunnel!
Thanx for a good year lads!
Roll on 2003!

mine would be when i bought mark donnisons nova.i had the car basically flat out all the way home from newcastle back to aberdeen.i had a snooper to pick up the speed cameras.it was the first time i had driven a nova since my near death crash 3 months beforehand.it was a very enjoyable ride and great to be back in the drivers seat of a NOVA. that would be my first but being in the passenger seat of my dads m3 flat out was a close second

My most memorable driving experience of 2002 would have to be driving to see my cousin south of Birmingham for the first time this year (October i think)... The drive down was nasty, loads of traffic and stuff but on the way back it was late and the roads were empty - I think i must have seen about 20 cars all the way back up the M1 from J23 to J34.
Gave me a chancet o get my foot down in the Clio and see how it did - not very well was the answer - but 112 aint too bad for a standard 1176cc I don't think. The handling was a bit worrying at times at that speed though. :o
Passing my test on the 1st Oct (first time) was good.
Losing it on a corner and ending up in a field with no damage was scary :?
