so we went back to childhood days the other week of playing around with a football in a car park. i took a mad swipe and a window got broken. it was a small window say 3x3ft and must of been single glazed for the ball to break it.
anywhoo the police phoned me earlier saying i have to go to police station sunday to give a statement. they have no proof i or any of us broke the window but its rediculously obvious and im sure they could get me for something. so im going to head round tomorow and say to the guy i broke the window and offering to pay for the window i broke. and he may stop the police taking any action.

just wondering how much is going to rape my wallet.

i have to go to police station on sunday to give like a statement or some pish.

problem with single glassed is the wood is normally rotten meaning whole window needed. If its a steel frame same again. if would its gonna cost more in labour and materials. If its upvc or alumium (beaded or shuffle glassed including labour wont be to dear). Did the glas break and full out in chunks, did it shatter into 100's of tiny fragments or did it just crack ?

I would charge £50 personally to do that.
Baxter why was it £9 is it 2nd hand? Are you having it away with the glass shop owner?
An 8x6 dgu is an expensive £100+ unit because in that size they usually must be toughened

if you smashed it with a football then i'm 99% it'll be a dodgy old wooden window with single glass, not a double glazed unit......good news they're really cheap (like about a tenner), bad news, if its been put in with putty rather than wooden beads, it's a complete ball ache to take out whats left of the old glass and put the new one in......it would require a proffesional (such as me :D ) to fit it, for which i'd pull your pants down in the region of 50 quid lol
