I've got a mk1 nova. When I went to re-fit the shelf under the dash I noticed on one side of the shelf (think it was the drivers side) there is a black heat sink with an electrical connector bolted to the shelf. Just wondering if anyone knows what its for. I remember unplugging a cable from it when doing the engine change but can't remember what it does.

its the dim-dip relay... a fantastic piece of european legistation to do with scandanavia & dark days. the idea is that the dip beam works dimly when the sidelights are on.. it usually fails & if removed the sidelights just work normally
There ya go bud:thumb:
