What size of trumpets have you got on your carbs??
Or ram pipes as some people like to call themlol
Is it the longer they are the more low down torque they have:confused:

you are tuning for a specific point in the load/rev range. the pressure waves have different effects depending on mods/choke sizes/cams etc...
you really have to tune it on a dyno to find the right length. you will loose some here but find some there, do not expect a remarkable gain all over
imho its going to be such subtle tiny differences that its not worth the ball ache of buying a load and trying them.

yes, that is my point. i would doubt you would feel it on the road anyway.
placebo mods are the tits though

So if i put different trumpets on it will just move the power around the rev ranges??
I will be aiming to achieve the best acceleration thats possible, so am i guesing longer rather than tiny? or does it really make that little difference?
Cheers for the info :thumb: guys
Also depends on how much room you have between the trumpet end and the bulkhead what size trumpets will fit!

You can make anything fit if you try hard enough:thumb:

lol lol I'll tell them that at the rolling road lol lol
And they'll agree lol lol
The overall opinion is longer trumpets aid torque, shorter ones peak power.
(not sure if thats already been said in the thread or not)
there was a thread on mig i think, and one lad mentioned that saw slightly better gains across the mid range i think, using the 90's over 120's!
