Right I have had an idea, my nova as it stands looks a bit like this, minus the skirts, it is a mk2 on a K plate

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/bhpnos/front.jpg

Im now tempted to Mk1 it, as it has and old mk1 boot, i have the wrap around spoiler in the shed and Mk1s are far superior anyway.

...and Mk1s are far superior anyway...

So you'll also be changing the front and rear bumpers, the dash....

Why bother. Leave it as a mk2 IMO.

must say i well pref the mk2, but you could have the styling cues of the mk1. Dont mind the look of them but they just remind me of my mums G reg exploding on the drive thats all lol

I think you should leave it as a mk2. This mk1 phase everyone is going through will pass soon lol

Plus, the added cost of a respray etc you might as well just save yourself the hassle and buy a mk1. Not that it's difficult to convert, just that mk2s are cool in their own way too.

Please keep it mk2 as I am beginning to dislike mine more and more now as mk1 are common as muck, especially with snowploughs.

That's because everyone copied me. Poofs. I have new valance now anyways :D

Mk2s rock anyway, get the styling right and add a few trick parts and you're away.

I voted burgo...

reason is this... why should you mk2 owners keep building mk1 replicas, when the mk1 is superior, & thus you are in fact cheapening the blood line of the mk1........

Thats why i got rid of my snowplough bumper, used to be a stand out thing and now everyone does it!

IMO if its a mk2 keep it mk2, i just think it looks weird seeing a K plate as a MK1 or vise versa

gotta love mk1's v. retro but all the brackets that hold on side on, on the mk1 bumpers are different to the mk2 so thats gunna be a paint doing that at the back. but do what ever you think looks better.

Ummm jack

Id definately say keep it mk2 as i think it would look epic badong being a mk1 on a K reg, the same way as i dont think A-H reg novas with mk2 kit look right either!

Its not a Mk1, so dont make it a Mk1. At a time it was cool to convert your Mk1 to a Mk2, then briefly it was heroc to Mk1 a Mk2 but IMO its a Nova, leave it as it is, but please, loose the Skirts.

H is the crossover so its not uncommon to find both Mk1 and Mk2 on a H plate.

Me & Ash saw a scrapped Mk1 J reg in a local yard a little while ago. Was a 5dr, appeared to have early Mk1 trim as well
