Im finally getting rid of my wheels you all hate. bit of help neeed

If they fit proplery on other cars then problery, might be 45 but is close enough. Not all vaux wheels are ET49

im not selling htem because everyone hates them, im selling them because the car was taken for a drive the other day (first time since its been lowered 30mil) and we got a few meteres up the road and smelled burning rubber. my wheels were rubbing stupidly bad, the arch had loads of tyre residue/gluey sh!t all over it. so need new wheels

sorry its edited now. those wheels are et42 with 195 54 tyres. and they rub very badly on the drivers side. the passenger side has about 2mm clearance but the drivers side has none at all!

Are they 16/17"? As anything less really shouldn't be rubbing on 30mm springs, unless you've got totalled dampers, even with 55 profile tyres.


[edit] Hmm, even if the offset is ghay, I'd have thought you should be ok. I had 30mm springs on my old hatchback once, et38 and tons of room. Lowered it more in the end as 30mm still made it look like it was on stilts lol

they are 15 inch wolfrace alloys with 42 offset and 195/45 tyres on a 30 mil drop. im.. pretty sure they do rub lol

just checked the listing on ebay for exactly the same wheels and it says the offset is 35 :eek: when i brought them it said the offset was 42 :roll: msut have got it wrong if rj is certain they shouldnt rub with 42 offset and other listings say it has et35. ****.

The same wheels can come with different offsets.

Only way to be sure is either look on the wheel itself - the offset should be stamped on it somewhere - or measure it yourself

oh lol im not sure what they are off. says in the listing he has had them on a corsa b lowered 50 mil though.

They have a 35 offset which is less than the wheels i already have. they would only cause more problems if they were fitted. i am going to get those veccy wheels eventually because they are nice :)
