Thought it was about time i posted up pics of my nova build! Some may recognise it
Owned if for a few years now, bought it as a rolling shell as it was near to the spec i wanted when mine was in the process of being stripped and rebuilt.
And as it stands now after a year on the road and a few trackdays

Sexy looking nova that! Definately like the dark bumpers rather than colour coded. The 400 mirrors look ace on nova's just a shame their visibility is gash!!
I REALLY want a pair of them winged Cobra seats but I hear a lot of people say they regret getting them cos the wings are annoying - any comments?
one truly stunning nova you own there :thumb:

Thanks for all the positive replys everyone:thumb:
More progress in the next few weeks so il keep the pics coming
What is it about them thats a pain? visibility? gettin in & out?
Tbh when I first got that car it was used daily and thats probably why at first I disliked them... getting in and out and visibility was awkward... (pulling out of juctions etc) Plus at first they were in with a 6 point cage so not the best recipe for a everyday user! My missus found it rather difficult to have a conversation with me as she had to spy through the sides of the seat etc lol But Id have another set tommorow in a car that I wasnt using daily etc as they are a comfy and nice looking seat etc.
On another note....Thinking about it the car above looks very much like my old shell apart from the obvious difference of mk1 to mk2 etc!

Bit of an update, pulled the nova out the garage in the week! Had to remove the dash so i could take it to get flocked
Dash out
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/Stevo16V/novatbxe019.jpg
And looking a bit bare inside now
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/Stevo16V/novatbxe020.jpg
With that done i decided to have a bit of a look over it as its been sat in the garage now for quite a bit, front end was looking a bit untidy and spotted my oil cooler pipe was leaking a bit so off came the grill, bumper and the cooler to give it a bit of a freshen up
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/Stevo16V/novatbxe025.jpg
And after a good clean, oil leak sorted and a coat of underseal on the lower member and behind the bumper to protect it a bit. You can't see much of it so thought it wasn't worth colour coding it all
How it looks now
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/Stevo16V/novatbxe028.jpg
And all back together
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/Stevo16V/novatbxe030.jpg
Cheaky little trumpet shot :)
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/Stevo16V/novatbxe024.jpg
More to come next week hopfully if the dash comes back and a new fuel cell to fit
Nice idea about the flocked dash, was just reading the thread through again and thought to myself it needs a gsi black dash, but now you've said your flocking it makes more sense :)

Cheers!!
Had it on the rollers a few months ago and it made 192bhp which i was well chuffed with considering its still on the standard manifold!!
Its having a fully custom 2 inch 4-1 manifold and 2.5 inch system the end of the month and more engine work the end of the year, so should be well into the 200+ mark then

Bit more progress on the nova. Fitted my dash back in yesterbay and went to pick my new fuel tank up this morning that i had specially made by fusion fabrication, so fitted that in today ready for the car to go for the exhaust next week!
Few pics,
The dash in.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y222/Stevo16V/novafuelcell011.jpg
Might get the top surrounds flocked at some point, and change my gauges as i dont think they suit the car now.
The tank. Unlike my old one this has an internal swirl system and baffles, and is now mounted straight onto the floor! This being the reason why my old one came adrift from the mounted legs.

Had it made by lee at fusion fabrication, know him quite well as hes done a few things for me and my brother in the past! Cost me £135 at mates rate ;)
I sent him measurements and a few diagrams of what i wanted and where i needed things feed pipe etc to be and that was that! As for the litreage! not filled it right up but its around the 35 litre mark
Cheers again everyone :thumb:

Update time!
Went and picked the nova up from powerspeed in kent yesterday, was there for a week having a new exhaust manifold and system custom made! This being because i wanted the manifold primarys being 2 inch and a 4-1 layout so im getting the benifits of it where i need it high up in the rev range! The system has also gone bigger and is now a 2.5 inch straight to the back with 2 silencer boxes built in where there was the free space giving me good ground clearance. Its now quiter inside which is good, but as i found out on the way home as my bro demonstrated it sounds the nuts on a fly by :D :D
Anyway a few pics of the new exhaust, hope you all like

It wasnt cheap, a few places i was looking at £850 mark just for the manifold  and not many where willing to take it on to be honest! Then rang powerspeed and they said, be tight but its something they could do! So they said they could do everything for a grand!
Im well chuffed with if, proper work of art i think :D

Didnt do well at pvs, was a shocking 14.2 best! best iv done so far is 13.8 on road tyres! cant seem to get heat into the 888s! Work well on track but not at the pod. Thats all before some current mods an mapping so should be doing better

Not much has changed to the nova really due to me getting into drifting and all the time and money goes towards that now! Only changes are a new fuel system lay out and is now a lot more tidy in the back now! Will get some new pics up once my post count has gone up :thumb:

Cool! There's a couple PS13's around here. Nice to see them rather than the constant rash of S13's IMO lol.
What are you running, C18 or SR20? Don't go doin nowt daft like sticking a 14a front on it lol.

Absolutly love the car mate. Not too keen on the mk2 dash and spoiler. Other wise very very nice. Silvia looks great too. Look forward to more updates.
Cheers lads!
It's an sr20det, it's around 270bhp 300lbft! Drifts very well!
Ye is soo loud dan! Get told that all the time, sounds the nuts.
Drift at dwyb at Pod and do most of the shows that are at pod doing drift rides! Did modified live drift taxi's the other weekend which was good!
Don't worry it won't be getting any other front end, like the look of it now!

Small little update on my now growing fleet. Decided it was time today to pull the nova out the garage and give it a run up, a good clean and removed the battery to give it a charge ready for some use over the next few months. Took a few pics of the new fuel system layout in the back too as iv not took any since i changed it. Think it looks alot more tidy now
Hope you like ;)

Few snaps of the silvia also for ya now with the new wider front wings, thinking of a colour change for it now due to the slight colour mismatch with the wings and bumper! Love to do a white and anthracite like the nova :d Next up will be rear over fenders to match the wider front
Should be at PVS doing some drifting over in the drift rides :thumb:

Mate you have tooo much money!
Love all the cars, but really like the GSi, Ive got a mk4 Irmscher x18xe, Ive heard that putting coilovers on ruins the handling they had as standard, you'll have to let us know on this though mate.

Cheers Scott :thumb: Yep expensive hobbie lol wouldnt change it tho
Wanted a GSI for ages now and got quite a good deal, really is mint, Well it had 60 drop on it when i got it but the standard shocks had seen better days. Alwayds had coilovers on my cars so went for some gaz's as they came up cheap, handling has improved over standard and feels so responsive and would be good on track! Read alot of good thins about the bilstein shocks tho with eibech spring combo seems to be the best :thumb:

It's a drift car, it happens lol Probably clipped a cone perfectly while executing a crazy drift with mad skills :p If he didn't he should probably agree that he did anyway :d

Yeah, if i could be bothered i would spend some money on mine and get some, but i cant justify doing it really... most ill do is 30-40mm drop on springs.
