Anyone have any recomendations for some new tyres? I am the 14" SR alloys, shoulud i go for 175x65 or 165x65, or anyother sizes? Which are some good ones? Parents are paying!

185/60 14" cheap cause they are popular size.. u must have the later 5J wheels not the early 4.5J ones

I had 2 x Goodyear GT2 165/65R14 79T's ?65 inc VAT & fitting

If Mommy & Daddy are buying I'd go for larger tyres so you can have better tread patterns.

It's stamped under the centre cap.

just looked at mine outta curiosity and my alloys are ET 47.5 offset thats a funny number isnt it???

yeh mike they are 47.5 because they were fitted to sri/gsi's which had larger calipers on so they extra distance from the hub to stop them from catching the calipers. Standard offset is et49mm

well depending on what calipers uve got on now u could definatly fit sri/gsi baby ate caliper behind those rims

the ATE callipers fitted to sri/gsi were a little wider and are the widest you can fit.

to get 16v discs under mine i hadto use a 3mm spacer and get the grinder to the calipers :s

i've got 16v brakes under sri steels.... had to use 1/2 worn pads off my 2.0 :lol:

Right i have 5J SR Alloys and I want to fit bigger brakes, are the GTE and GSi the biggest that will fit whith out any other modification? Are the GTE/GSi the same?
