Surely, if you are replacing the Vehicle Identification Plate, you will need to go through Vauxhall, because if you put any old one on, you are altering the Vehicles identity, which is EXTREMELY illegal.

buying a replacement vin plate if for example your car has front end damage is perfectly legal.. fitting a new one if the old one is lost is also legal.. stamping a different number on & welding in the one on the drivers sill is ringing & thus is illegal

If You Go Along To Your Vauxhall Dealer With Photo Id / V5 And Some Cash They Can Order You A New Vinplate With The Proper Details For Your Car
This Takes Up To 28 Days As They Contact Both The Dvla And The Police
They Have A Special Order Form For This And The Deposit Is Non Refundable
