Right:: I have a scenario.
I have a 2 Channal Amp (which is bridgeable) and 2 6x9s, which are running off the amp.
I want to get a Sub, which for the mo iw ant to run off this AMP. I know how to wire it up, but i have heard i need these things (I have blocks in my head)
I dont know wot i need to do :-s

one 6 x9 off either channel like you are running now
then the sub gets wired to the +ve of one channel and -Ve of the other
there should be the designated ones to stop you using the other pair (if u c wot i mean) usally there the furthest ones apart.
then u need a low pass filter for your sub and either a high pass or full / mid range filter for the 6x9s.

well to do it on the cheap like (as im sure your most interested in!) - save for some other mod then!
you need to buy:
un polarised electrolytic capacitors.
i used a value of 220uf in my front dash speakers, that blocks the base from them, i think this may be too higher rating for if you want them for the 6x9s as i use my fronts primarily as tweeters for vocals and a bit of mid.
im unsure as to wether you need a larger number or higher number for either high or low pass filters
im sure someone else can do the maths!
but yeah i used 200uf on my fronts. there sound - no more farting now! i acutally find that the speakers aint half bad in the mk2s - just dont handle ANY form of bass at all well.

i done it now, i got my sub, got a professional opinion...... it was blockers i needed. a bass blocker for the 6x9s and a treble blocker for the sub..... becoz the sub can't obviously handle treble. you need to match the frequency with these..... but i got a new headunit anyway, so I just wired my 6x9s from this, then the sub is briged on its own on the amp!!!!!! sounds good!!!!!! :wink:
