Engine Number :S??

Hi i took a 1.3sr engine out of my Nova and i tought the engine numbers were stamped 13N then the rest of the 8 digit number, but mine says 13SE or is that normal, Just wondering and I have a C20XE and im filling out the log book do they have a letter in them or are they all numbers? Because as i looked up my 1.3 engine it has a D in it and as far as i can see my 2.0 does not :S but thats because its in a stupid tight spot :)

XE engine number is all numbers AFAIK.

Stamped along the gearbox end on the front facing flange.

E.G. this is the number of the XE i am currently breaking: 14067431
