best of using the big block box or even another f16 or f20 , if you have a conversion kit it will include the gearbox spacer that you will need , but you will still need conversion driveshafts

but you can use the f13 and std nova driveshafts aslong as you fit the 1.6 fly and clutch assy , i wouldnt bother though wont last that long lol

Expect disintigration rather quickly, but it can be done.

The bellhousing will be too small for a proper clutch & flywheel to work. The F13 will go on a 2.0 8v with the right flywheel & clutch combo. I also dont think an 8v will hurt a decent F13. I used to run 180lb/ft through mine with no worries. The 2.0 8v wont have much more grunt than a carbed 1600 8v anway!

its been done before, but when using it often, you'd be swapping boxes monthly

Why??

A 2.0 8v is hardly miles more powerfull than 1600. Infact on the road the 2.0 cars are only marginally quicker than a 1600 8v. Its silly. An XE doing constant burnouts on the rev limiter would give the weedy smallblock input shaft a hard time i agree.

theres a lad down the road drilled a 1.6 flywheel to fit his xe and its on a f13 box with 1.0 shafts and has been for 18 month and he treats it like karen mathews treats her kids

turbo'd 1600 gte/gsi seem to cope fine on f13..... defo more torque than an ne/seh!

this is true as i have a c20xe in my nova with an xe flywheel drilled to match 1600 clutch and running 1.4sri shafts and never had any problems with gear boxes even when runnin nos BUT i do hav a spare box just incase had the box on the car for about 2 years now though n no problem:thumb:

A pal of mine also has a 20XE in a corsa with a F13 box, he gives that thing death all the time and it's still sweet as a nut!!!

theres a guide on www.corsa-novatuning.nl (http://www.corsa-novatuning.nl/) for how to do it. and for those saying it wont last, theres a lad here with turbotechnics 2.0 8v on a f13 cr and its fine, hes at 190bhp and 210ftlb.....
