Well a mate of mine is running X16xe in his nova rally car and basically (his WIP on MIG) (http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/projects-restorations/344111-nova-rally-build.html) he is having trouble with the alternator (a) being too close to the inner chassis leg and (b) the twin 40's won't fit due to the alternator.

Has anyone got any pictures of a C/X16 running twin 40's and which alternator did you use i.e a Nova one or the standard Corsa one or SBD...

Cheers :thumb:

Use a 8v alternator lowering bracket to drop the alternator down or make one yourself
Or pay a few quid for SBD's diddy alternator setup.

Is he using a single v alternator setup?

Yes he's using the single v and I've just spoke to him and he's said that he's using the 8 valve alternator and bracket already.

It may just be a matter of him making a new bracket from an existing one then?

EDIT: Whats in the "Diddy kit" Adam? Is it a smaller/lighter alternator?

Yeh, small alternator. But its a few hundred £££ iirc.

You can drop the alt by using a flat plate with 4 holes drilled in it.
Just basically making the bracket sit lower down from where it usually sits.

I thought it wouldn't be a cheap one as they never are, but it's got to be worth it as he won't be able to rally the nova without it.

Cheer for your help Adam +rep :thumb:.

If anyone has a setup of there car with 40's on could you post yours up.
