Where do you have to drill 2 holes? If you have all the facelift parts (wings, grill, front bumper) it should all fit fine.

On front of wings for grill? Only place I can think of.

The Mk2 grille has two clips which go into square holes on the slam panel iirc... the Mk1 grille simply screws in at the top.

MK2 grill clips into the wings under the indicators (should be black plastic clippy things) and also into the slam panel in 4 places. Also has pegs that slot into the top of the front bumper.

Its when you make a mark two into a mark one you have to start drilling holes, facelifting it will all bolt together, the biggest problem I know is the headlamp clips you have to have brand newwies as they go brittle and snap but I'm sure I've seen them on Ebay

Does the Mk1 slam panel have the square holes for the Mk2 grille then?

The pattern front panels are for both mk1/mk2 I know that much as I ran both front ends.

Most useless answer of the day? lol
