Hmmmm, not bad. Will be interesting to see if it makes it past the concept stages though.

I think it has shades of mk1 Audi TT, no doubt it'll be front wheel drive and will probably get 4WD later on so no RWD :(

With the emphasis on efficiency, petrol models will get three versions of the 1.6-litre turbo from the Corsa VXR (http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoexpressnews/209398/sleek_calibra_lives_again.html#), with a choice of 148bhp, 178bhp or 189bhp.
Can much be done with these 1.6 turbo lumps to up the output beyond 189bhp?

i agree, they have the astra cc thing and the tigra, its only space is as a 350z competitor, and the mazda rx8. and they have that bit of the market sown up.

That was posted when it came out (i.e. July 2007).

I think it looks horrendously ugly. Like an Astra crashed into a Monaro.

Anyway, THIS is the all new calibra:

Considering its came from auto express, i have my doubts the concept is even real.

Thinking of this, I saw a new Insignia today.

Congratulations Vauxhall on making one of the worst looking cars to date. :cuckoo:

i love the floor plan drive type and technology behind the insignia but hate the way it looks if it was styled more on these images of a surposed new calibra rather than on an avensis i would like it.

i feel vauxhall are starting to follow suit with all there rivals and as a result im worried about what the future has in store for them

as usual, looks the biz. All vaux do lately. But i also am fed up hearing them get 'out handled' by fords.
This thing needs to handle, be raved about for once. RWD? 4x4? Active Diff lark..? - Plus we can strip 'em of it all in years to come lol
