Nova 1.2i spark plug gaps

Having a nitemare with the gf's nova. I've just serviced & started it now it seems to have a small misfire & then the engine cuts out afew secs later.
I've gapped the plugs (vauxhall plugs) at 0.8mm & replaced the ht leads only with crappy halfords brand as one of the old leads broke when I removed it.
What do you think it could be? Faulty plug? I'm going to put the old plugs back in tom to see if this helps. Cheers

you have got the leads on the right way and did you take the air filter off.

leads are all correct, checked twice, Didnt take the air filter off? Im thinking it may be the plugs. even with a small misfire It shouldnt really stall.

changed the dizzy cap and rotorarm?

I agree with stu. Eather that or the timing is slighly out.

Had a new cap& arm last week.

Thanks for your help guys, Just went down halfords & got another set of plugs & its all running smoothly again. Going to take the crappy vauxhall plugs back tom. Cheers.
