Read somewhere the other day it's relatively easy to modify an Astra C20XE manifold onto the flange of a boggy standard exhaust manifold to get a cheap decent exhaust manifold. Dont know where I heard it mind!
Aren't standard 1.2 manifolds for example cast iron or something?

1.2 standard manifolds are only fit for use as doorstops. they are a poor 4-1 design, the 1.3 is way better.
but what are you trying to achieve???

Well Astra GSI manifolds are tubular and I have one kicking around in the garage.
Just read about the flange fitting thingo on here a couple days ago, cant remember where.
C20xe manifold isnt great either tbh!!

i wanted to do this i wanted to use the XE pipes and cut the flange off and put the downpipes on a 2l XEV flange
Just get an aftermarket manifold, the xe ones are crap anyway
