As my nova is soon to be back on the road I'm obviously having to insure again. Mines a 1986 model but I was wondering if this is viable nowadays as a classic?

Is it classed as a classic if it's a certain age; or if there are only so many left on the road, thus becoming a classic.

how old are you as most classic insurers only take you if your 21
and most companys you will be able to get classic for if you meet the requirments

Mines 1987 if that helps, some insurers base it on when the car was made, others when the model is made classic etc...

Is that with the c20xe in? Not bad if so. Hic were an extra £ 180 for me even though I have 5 years protected no claims and the age factor. Oh and mines only a c16xe aswell

Just look for a limited mileage policy

NCB doesnt affect premium on a classic policy... You can build a nocb with it, but your premium will be the same with 0ncb or 5ncb. Its designed for 2nd cars and most classic policies are limited mileage, mines 5k.
