I want to buy a Nova and insure it as a second car just for very occasional us. I would only be taking it out at the weekend, when the sun is splitting the trees, etc. What is the best way of going about this?

You are best off limiting the mileage to as low as possible but you will not be able to find a company who will insure you just for weekend use

Can anyone recommend any insurance companies who specialise in limited mileage policies?

Sky... lol

I have limited mileage on my Novargh, the NCB is also mirrored from the Celica.

I have had my nova on classic insurance limited to 3000 miles a year, Through Flux and Carol Nash.;)

I now use RH Insurance for my 3 "occational use cars", 2 novas and my V8 SD1 for @ £600, 3k miles each, even though I don't do that many, not worth dropping to 1500 miles for a minimal saving. Have to be garaged at night at home and normal restrictions

If the summer is good this year might shift a few more mileslol

Mind some companies don't class novas as classics:mad:

Yup.

Or try someone like Admiral for a multicar policy.

The mirrored NCB is a very useful tool to anyone insuring more than one car.. Not a lot of people seem to realise that you can only use NCB on one car at a time..

It is great for me as I run three cars at a time! It is just the tax and MOT which gets me down!
