VTRs are good little cars, awesome power/weight. Handle well and good power out the box. Gotta be more comfortable than a nova lol.

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:00 AM
comfort is not an issue as far as im concerned the harder the better

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:00 AM

Sloth
06-02-09, 02:01 AM

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:04 AM
i aint got it yet still not 100% i want to get rid of it

sulphur
06-02-09, 02:07 AM
You'll be down on power compared to the XE, but they handle on rails I've been told with a decent suspension setup, plus plenty potential in the engine. TBs FTMFW!!:thumb:

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:09 AM
so its the correct move then

sulphur
06-02-09, 02:11 AM
It depends how much you love your nova. Weigh up the pros and cons on each car, go from there. :thumb:

Ive had two Saxos and personally didnt like them, make sure you dont just take the Saxo for the sake of it though.

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:19 AM
im really not a fan of saxos but its about the best offer im gonna get

sulphur
06-02-09, 02:25 AM
Can't you just wait it out see what else comes along? If you're just taking the saxo for the sake of it, it won't be a good choice. You might not like it, then be stuck driving around cursing it. P/H add has only been up 5 days, give it time. :thumb:

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:30 AM
highest cash offer i have had is 1k

sulphur
06-02-09, 02:37 AM
I'd look into the saxo first mate, go test drive it or something, make sure you like it. Don't wanna be taking it just for the sake of it. There's loads more saxos for sale than novas, so it'll be harder to shift than the nova if you don't like it. :thumb:

someone even offered me £500 i have been offered an MR2 GT and an xr3i cab and £800 and this saxo

sulphur
06-02-09, 02:41 AM
£800 plus saxo?

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:43 AM
no the £800 was a seprate offer

sulphur
06-02-09, 02:43 AM
saxo offered as a straight swap? same as the MR2?

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:45 AM
the saxo has £100 on top mr2 i think straigt swap not had any info on it yet but its rwd

sulphur
06-02-09, 02:50 AM
I would seriously look into the saxo. VTRs aren't going for much nowadays, so check the spec, mileage n make sure it's had the appropriate done to it, otherwise it'll end up a money pit. The MR2 GT, i think is 170bhp, 0-60 of sub 8secs. Handle well been told. Dunno much about them TBH. :(

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:53 AM
we shall see me thinks

Jack
06-02-09, 07:50 AM
MR2 GT or Saxo, and you're considering the Saxo? :wtf:

ant_tay
06-02-09, 07:59 AM
ATM the saxo is my only option as i am still yet to hear anything about this MR2 im hopeing the guy/gal will get back to me today but on another note i had a wicked drive into work this morning and i made me not want to give it up again so i am undecided again

Jack
06-02-09, 08:06 AM
Find out what year the MR2 is...

sulphur
06-02-09, 08:09 AM
i'd have a go with the mr2. get more info on that :thumb:

A few people latley are wanting to swap their novas for saxhomo's, has the world gone mad!!!!!!

Riggy
06-02-09, 10:26 AM
was goin to say vtr's are **** , a vts on the other hand would have been good

but also to be fair you arnt goin to see much more then 800-1000 for your nova though ,

but glad to hear you will be keeping it :thumb:

ant_tay
06-02-09, 10:28 AM
i came to my senses why get a car that i dont have to spend money on when i can just spend loads on the nova and LOVE every second of spending it

Adam*D
06-02-09, 10:36 AM
Saxhomo's are like dog ****e, there's some in every street. ;) You made the right choice.

Jack
06-02-09, 10:39 AM
VTR, ahhh I thought you were considering a VTS!

In that case, most definitely WTF! VTR's are complete turd! Consider yourself scorned for even considering having a VTR lol

...plus if you're taller than 5'10", and have feet bigger than a size 6, you won't be able to drive one. I could barely fit in my sister's old Saxo (I'm 5'11" so not exactly tall) and you had to press all the pedals at the same time :tard:

I would rather have a 1.2 base nova than a saxo that will break itself just being looked at!

Get scared turning the heater on incase the knobs fall off whenever im in one!

Good to see your keeping the nova, you will always regret selling

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:07 PM
RJ i thought i mentioned it was a vtr

Rich i would probably take a base model nova over a saxo also

all that is left now is to get the little bits i need

Jack
06-02-09, 02:48 PM
You did, clearly I couldn't comprehend someone actually considering a VTR so just mentally blocked that bit out lol

ant_tay
06-02-09, 02:51 PM
i do that alot to the other half she thinks im deff in one ear but really i just chose not to listen :D

AlexW
06-02-09, 03:57 PM
Good on ya for keeping the nova. Wouldnt ever go near a saxo.

MR2's are lovly cars though, For about the price you was asking for your nova the mr2 would have problery been a nice mk1 or a early mk2. My brother has 2 mk1's atm. Small engined (1.6 16v) but they do move and you can fit turbo lumps out of the later cars (Plus you could go for a V6 (What my brother is currantly doing) and its the best of both worlds IMO)

Saxo VTR's are good cars mate tbh

0-60 in 9.7 but how many miles has it done?? anything over 90k and its not worth getting

also be warned the mark 1s have 90bhp where as the mark 2s have 98bhp

also alot of young people drive VTRs so they have been ragged and perhaps crashed so examine it very carefully

also dont get the VTR mixed up with the VTS the VTS does 0-60 in 7.6

djshaggeh
06-02-09, 06:22 PM
Bah, **** saxos. VTRs or VTSs they look like ****. Couldnt care less if it was a 1.0l with 150bhp and 0-60 in 3 seconds.

ant_tay
06-02-09, 07:09 PM
its ok guys the nova is staying for deffinate nowdont even know what i was thinking considering a saxo I HATE THEM WITH A PASSION

Ive driven a VTR once before, for a distance of about thirty feet....

Im 6'1" and a bit, i have size 11 feet and all i could do was bounce it off the limiter when trying to brake and slam on whist trying to put my foot down, (this could explain why all sage & onion paxos get bounced off their limiters continually) so i got out, told him it was poo and gave him the keys back lol
