View Full Version : X14XE/L heads?
Anyone know if the heads from the X14XEL's are the same as the baby XE's?
Btw i think XEL is the right engine code lol
Presuming XEL is the spi Xe lol
Jesus, if anyone can make sence of that blarb fire away.
X14XE and X16XEL share the same head and cams
fitment wise the heads are the same as the C16XE and X16XE.
Not seen an X14XEL, do they exist?
but the x16xel has a better design head
EPC says no X14XEL exists...a C14SEL does but that is a multi point injected 8 valve.
L on an engine code means low output...
(or supercharged. Well done GM on using the same letter for two completely different reasons  )

and the E in engine code lingo stands for multi point injection
The x14xel is found in the astra f variant iirc.

Nah, the only X14 fitted to the 'F' was the X14XE, EPC does not list an X14XEL for any Astra or Corsa in any country, so you could presume they don't exist.
There is no X14XEL, just x14xe
There is a X16XEL, fitted to mk3 astras and vectra's iirc.

lol seems like i was wrong then. I belive its the Z14XE? Is that correct? lol
Yes
Bigs-Theres usually astras etc in scrappies! Seen a few in mine recently
Yea ive asked on ebay and local scrappys and they say £100 for the head. sod that i can pick a engine up for not much more. I want to spend £50 at the most really.
