Heres my new Nova, went halfs on a mate with it but hes not really wanting another project since he also has his own MK1 E reg merit to do lol

1.2 Carb
Lowered 60mm all round on shocks & springs
86000 miles on the clock
SR Steering wheel
Snowplough front bumper
Random spotlights
5" Rage backbox :wtf:

Got it from a farm and all i can say is that its been very abused, heaps of random bits and pieces have been broken, a window has been smashed, bonnet is wrecked, passenger door is wrecked but apart from front panel under the headlights everywhere else is completely solid!

The car has been completely sprayed matt black on the outside but we started rubbing that off with a mix of things and managed to get through to the original paint. I will be doing this to the whole car as it looks stupid black and i really like the blue!

pull the wings & snowplough off, I think there is some serious rust underneath, judging by the holes where the lights go..... rest of the car looks pretty good though

I'm just wanting to tidy it up to begin with and get the black paint off. There are heaps of little bits that need tidied up or replaced but ive got them all lieing about. Front panel will be completely replaced, battery tray has been bodged so its getting welded too. Engine wise i think ill just keep the 1.2 for a while but wouldnt mind something like a 1300 or 1400 carb.
Snowplough isnt staying on as my mate is wanting it for his thing.

Well this is my 23rd Nova and the only engine i've not had is a LET but i just dont fancy one for this car, i think because of the age i want to keep the engine old skool too so it will definetly be on single or twin carbs. I like the power of the XE but im more keen on a smaller 8v engine.
It looks like a complete shed just now and so far everyone except me and my mate have been so unimpressed when they have seen it lol

Looks good. Stick a 1.3 lump in with twin 40s. :D

What colour is that blue? I had to look at it twice, thought it was burgo blue to start with.

Not sure about the colour, i have been trying to find it out but keep forgetting to check the colour code. There is another 1.2 carb in the projects section in the same colour but he dosent know either! Its a metallic colour.

Lazer blue does ring a bell but not seen it in person to compare the two.

Dougie if you could find out that would be spot on because theres a few bits im going to have to paint again!

Need to let the engine run for a while because its smoky as hell, plugs and leads need changed too because they are nackered.

Definetly keeping it 8v and on carbs, still really keen on a decent spec 1300 just for a change.
