Can anybody tell me if i can run an C20XE on 45's (distributor engine) without any engine management at all. I want to bin all the electrics and go simple- im just a bit unsure thats all??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :) :thumb:

There was a complete kot for sale on here not long ago. Other option, do like me and run bike carbs :)

You can run an XE on 45's, yes. But you will need some sort of management. Have a search about on here. There are a few carb fed XE's.

you wont need management... not if you ditch the whole xe dizzy and ecu and loom. Run a carb dizzy... Or I have a H&H dizzy for mine, which has ben set up for the carbs
Dont people use the 1.4 SR (Carb ofc) dizzy setup ?

you need the dizzy setup from a 1.6 big block engine.
the 1.4 setup shouldnt fit/work.
Pete, you bin the management and use a good(crap) old fashioned dizzy.

The Cav 1.6 carb engine dizzy is the one to use on a budget or use the H&H dizzy if you have the cash as its the better option imo i used it on mine (see my saloon wip)

Whats the H&H dizzy..? Has that got points/contact breakers.??

Chimp007. Your a star fela, i recognise this company now- im restoring a couple of jaguars at the mo and they do stuff for them!! Sorry if i sound a bit nieve, its just that it seemed so simple??lol.
