Thats just your jeep with some spotlights on, it aint moving anywhere :p
Ive just got home and its really coming down now, 3ish inches already and the worse is forecast for tonight.
I tried to go to work, but my traffic van decided to let go. Clutch fell to bits going up a hill.
Baxter, get a vid of you driving across a field in the snow then I MAY be impressed :p
Aye, more snow forecast here tonight. Meh.

bit difficult, with me driving and no one else,
if the fire brigade calls me out, ill get a good photo lol
It would still get stuck anyway!!!!
More weight just means you'll slide even further when you lock the wheels lol lol

Thumbed a lift to work this morning but had to walk 6 miles home.
Plenty of fun with 20cm of snow:thumb:
lol a bit of snow and the media make it sound like there has been a natural disaster. If people had a bit of savvy about them and allow extra time for journeys and use the gears to slow down instead of using brakes then everything would be ok.Or better still just stay in.I did the sensible option, rang work and said i would be late as i was waiting for the snow to clear on the roads/crashes to finish.Turned up 2 and a half hours late.Fine no problem, about 5 other people were "sick"

I love the winter
drove to and from work in the nova :D
I was in a Corsa B, prolly the worst car to ever drive in the snow TBH. Needs yet another lower ball joint now lol lol
Pees me off these people who cant drive in snow. Came out of my road and there was a car half in a poor old blokes hedge. They were both standing there scratching their heads.
Decided the best thing to do in that situation was to yank up the H brake and drift the focus into the next road. They both looked a bit sheepish tbh lol
Cars with pram wheels are the best in the snow
Yup /\
Wide low profile tyres on a light car just slide over the snow
Cars with pram wheels are the best in the snow
Correct. Anthing with big wide rims is actually harder to control then something with teeny tiny skinny rims.

Indeed. 6" wide rims, 35mph, 90 left = kapoowie :D
I love fcuking up Corsa's :D

When im next at my dads ill get a pic of the shock abosber i bent then :D lower arm & ball joint were fine, but the shock bent  (that was when i had a rant about Stoke Council lol)
TBH, the only car ive ever funked in any snow is the present 1 wheel power steering Corsa i have? Ive done 95mph in 6inch of snow in a rally car sideways and didnt hit chuff all??

The gritters were so good in my bit of leicestershire that a lorry jackknifed right outside their depot & they couldn't get out to grit the roads.......its nice to know my council tax is spent on such an efficient, hardworking bunch of tossers
I'm leaving for work at 7am, oh noes!

gotta love it
Ive been to reading and newbury today in 6 inchs of snow in the astra van.
i got to see a punto go strait on at a corner and take out a corsa but the best one was the women in the range rover (latest shape) went a little bit up a hill to my right then i watched as she slid backwards pass my front bumper.
After i had stopped laughing i checked she was ok then buggered off again in the trusty astra van without any probs.
I dont know how anyone can say theyve been snowed in.
Some people cant cope with anything.
I've had get fun.

talk about controll comming down the hill, its about 45 degrees, i was driving down, but had the gear in reverse and slightly tapping the brakes and letting the clutch in and out, nice and slow, not one bit of slide in about 5" on snow,

okay i am sorry i will not do it agen i didn't realise this
it stopped me  was taking the missus home and theres a hill on her estate, the nova wouldnt even try and get up lol so the poor lass had to walk home:( i did walk with her though! :)
lol ^ Sorry but if that was me i would have told her "Hers your stop... Bye"
I so wish my nova was on the road atm, bit of fun in that. O well
we had some last night - not much but enough to see a DHL van get stuck at the bottom of our cul-de-sac for 30 mins
Then it really started to fall later in the afternoon so I left at 5pm (due to finish at 8) on the premise I'd get stuck getting home coz of here I live. Turns out I wasnt far wrong - the gritters didnt regrit the roads and the snow just laid on the top, compacted and turn the roads in the skating rings - normally takes mne 20 mins to get home after I get off the train - took nearly 1 1/2 hours!
lol ^ Sorry but if that was me i would have told her "Hers your stop... Bye"
i thought about it but then i realised that bad things would of happened if i did lol

Is it legal to run 4 space saver wheels in the snow?
Would have thought so. You're not going to be going over 30mph with them on so they'd be within their speed rating.

Baxter drive off/down 1 of these huge banks we dived down last night not realising it actually was a black hole of snow! lol... twas mad!
It's our ex school field it has like banks that go down onto a further field which drop about 15ft on a steep slope.
