Kent AST1 vs Enem x17??

wondering what cam to put in my engine..please help!

i have a kent ast1 that came with engine or an enem x17 cam (came with nova sports 298deg iirc)

is there anyway you can tell if the cam is worn? apart from looking for marks/scores?

can you measure it or something?

measure the longest section then the shortest. Take the shortest away from the longest, it should be more or less the quoted cam lift. multiply by 1.68 for the valve lift.

worked it out..enem cam seems to be a bit meatier than a ast1..

i have heard people on about kent ast1's being pretty crap, is this true??
