Nova f16 speedo cable

Just wondering what speedo cable i need to use from my nova clocks to an f16 gearbox. At the moment i'm using a 1.2 nova cable, it fits into the gearbox and the speedo works but the problem is the big nut on the speedo cable wont reach to screw onto the gearbox.

nova one should reach not as if the f16 sits outside the wheelarch is it?
