the haynes manual has got it down as "switch - engine (housing). what that mean i dont know but its connected to the oil temperature

the haynes manual has got it down as "switch - engine (housing). what that mean i dont know but its connected to the oil temperature correct:thumb: its wired in series to the oil temp switch somthing to do with tempteture below 17 c. its switched on! anything over that it switches off:wtf: if it runs/idels fine warm without it that may be why it's running on the rough side?:p

i like pussy.its the fast idle warm up switch. it tells the ecu to add more fuel when its cold. it measures the temp of the oil or water, i cant remember which.

^yes the ecu measures oil tempreture! 17 c or lower the air intake temp switch should be on! when cold. also the ecu on the bosch efi moniters air flow, water temp, pane in fook'n ass tbh lol

it must be the water temp its looking at, as that block full of coolant. if your saying the wire is the same as the oil temp switch then if theyre wired in series then whatever sensor opens first will tell the ECU its happy enough with the temp and cut the cold start enrichment.

as meritlover said it must monitor coolent temp as the thing its screwed into is full of water, not oil!!
