Ok, its an Estate and its an Auto, but whatever. Its supposedly Irelands only example of a Carlton Diamond 24v Estate, which is nice. Engine and diff are the same spec as a GSi, the interior is the same as the Lotus Carlton interior apart from the back of the front seats, the stitching is different or something and its an estate and so its an ideal tow/pick up car. :D

From the back toor to the rear of the Drivers seat in a sensible position measures 6ft, it has Cav Turbo like Leather Seats but with more adjustment, and yes they're Heated and it also has a Sports Button (4sp Auto) and a second set of Alloys along with it. I also have a spare 2.0 Shell so anything it needs it'll get.
I was origionally going to convert it to a Manual but it'd need a Pedel Box fitted (which I have) all the interior trim (which I have) A gear box, (which I dont have) a clutch, preasure plate and flywheel (which I dont have) and all the Hydrollic Gear for the Clutch set up (which I dont have) so unless I can find all I need cheap or a complete car for breaking it'll stay as it is.
I do however feel the need to turn it into a Comercial as Road tax should drop, um, €1150 a year, no brainer really is it?

holy ****! €1150 for road tax?!
I read it as thats how much it would drop by, not thats how much it is. Implying it would have been even more expensive than that...

Yeah €1300 a year to tax the Mother****er. Sloth it was an earth Problem so its fixed again. TBH I'm terrified of the big ****er, its so long that its going to take me a while drifting it. Imagine your house going sideways and its bound to be a similar experience.

Why do I need a new ECU to convert it to Manual? The Auto box isnt nice, I can honestly say I dont like it and it makes me feel like I have less controll than I would in a Manual.

The Auto set up has a seperate ECU and loom so it comes out without any hassle. The only thing is it may idle a little funny but its never an issue though.

dod i thought it was only cars registered after a certain date ie; when they brought in that smelly rule a while back that the tax took a jump?

Love this machine, a good GSi Carlton is next on my Vauxhall hitlist I think, although I would settle for a Diamond Estate!

All the best with it, get wipers fitted to the front door windows though!!!!!

Mowgli, I was delivering the car last year and was an hour early so decided to pull into a small village and get a bite to eat. Do I got the Paper and a Burger and parked up. I started getting funny looks from everyone but paid no attention to any of it. So, I finshed eating, crossed the road to the bin to dump the rubbish and realised I was parked outside a funeral Directors Premisis. lol

AMG, they're surprisingly unexpensive, if you look on www.totalcarlton.com (http://www.totalcarlton.com) you'll see yourself. It is a ******* to run all the same.
