Vinegar/bicorbonate of soda a bath of water and a battery charger perchance?
Wont shift proper rust tho, only surface rust.

Ive heard that too, something in vinegar effects the metal......
Use bicarb of soda, you can get a supermarket own brand with enough % in it to make it worthwhile, a mate of mine had very good results this way.
