xe afm?

Hi guys im still having a few problems getting fuel up to the rail in my xe cav. Now if i put 12v to the pump the car will start and run but wont idle and will rev then bog and eventually cut out. Now i put my hand over the afm to richen the mixture and the car ran better now i hel it over for to long and the gauze filter went pop!! now would this lead to and afm problem as im told the air flow meter primes the pump after its been told how much air is coming in?? any help appreciated cheers!!

the only reason i ask mate is that a "mate" got me one that "might" work and still the same problem, im getting no fuel at all up is that a side effect like?

you should be getting fuel. is the fuel relay working ok? does it click when ignition is primed?

check that. then if thats ok check the wiring to the pump.

as in sucked my hand up lol and the filter bit came off

the filer dont matter. If you touch the copper wire in it, then its dead.

I dont think so, but cant be sure. But it will stp the engine running.

Yes, as if its broken it wont sence the air.

what happens if you unplug the afm? it will start and idle without one, probably cut out with throttle. Is it sparking?

still nothing if i inplug the afm the problem is fuel not spark i have a good spark?
