It cost me £280, its immaculate inside and out, its only a 1.0 but its the gl model. Its green with the brown interior and its only done 24,000 miles!
Will get pics up tomorrow as im off out now.

I was wondering what would fit in without much hassle, any idea what other work is needed? Was thinking a 2.0 bluebird lump would fit lol but seriously, its just gonna be a runabout!
Do you know what nissan wheels would swap straight over? the skinny tyres on there need changing so I might as well get something worthwhile!

That was the idea lol Thought by saying it a 1.0 gl with a brown interior you would all think another early nova! But this thing is so mint, not a spot of rust anywhere on it. Its a bit more refined than a nova too, its got a digital clock which also shows the date. I know it looks cack but I just needed something cheap for the time being, its not like the novas going to be back on the road for a while anyway.
Been looking on a micra club forum (didnt think there would be one lol) as I need to get some new wheels for it, there either 12s or 13s but the tyres are crap so gonna see what later steelies can be fitted as it will be lethal trying to drive it the way the weather iss..
All these people slagging it off just cos it's not a Vauxhall :roll:
It is actually a better car in every area (bar looks!) than the equivalent Nova. Some people are so narrow minded and only seem to appreciate one manufacturer. Probably the same people that go through life only owning Vauxhalls because 'everything else is sh1t' expand your horizons man lol

steve there is a guy whos got the ca18det 8v bluebird zx turbo lump in one, but its lots of work. i'd go for a 1.3 or 1.6 cherry lump on twin 40's.....

I never look for them lol. The Primera nearly got a CA18 once over then I saw the SR20 light (insert Race Wars joke here)
The ZX lump goes into K11's with next to no hassle, not seen many converted K10's (or many K10's period) for a long time lol
There's one running a big spec SR20DET on MSC though I'm sure. Might got for a look, after I've been Cherry spotting on the bay lol :thumb:
40's would be good and in keeping with the old skoolness *cough* 13x8 Ultralites :D

according to the nerds on k10 owners, they use k11 hubs and shafts and the e15et (cherry turbo) lump fits straight in, then get pulsar gtir front brakes and they bolt on... easy... one guys got 400bhp from his..... in 600kg of box...

I know some of the U12 Bluebird boys in Oz run daft power, there's one with about 800bhp. I assume he removed the Cadburys crank and the Galaxy rods though.

the other option is the later 1.6 16v lump. thats most common in em, and theres a carb manifold. thats gotta be an xe speed micra.....
To fit a GA16DE (100bhp) into a Micra you need to do practically the same mods as to run the SR20 mate, the mounts are the same (on the shell) I converted the P11 to SR20 and it wasn't hard.
I looked into doing the same to my K11 but you have to chop the crossmember, bin the water pump for an electric job (or attack the leg brutally) and obviously chisel off the brackets from the donor car and weld onto the Micra, then you have the exhaust, gear linkage, radiator, shafts, sump issues etc. I am going to do it to another K11 when I get the space for definite though, a 12 door sleeper on Almera steels with the brakes etc :)
I assume it will be pretty much the same story in the K10, except maybe there's more room?
What I'm saying though is it's a lot of work for the 1600 when for nigh on the same you can have the 2.0 or a little more for the 2.0 T.
If I was gonna swap anything now though it would be the SR16VE, Vtec power from Nissan. Shame they were a lot harder to get when I last cared about the 4 door with the hamburger badge lol.
haha the k10 has a bigger bay and different mounts. its basically a cherry bay.... im on egay nbow looking at k10's and dead sunnys.... oooohh 2.0 gti sunny....£100.....

Cheapness on the bay dude is it high or low port? I can't remember which I have (been that long lol) but I got the GTI-R TB's bolted up matched and running on the correct cylinder head, when 'they' said it can't be done. Buy the Sunny and rock the N/A goodness dude lol
indeed, and theres a commode blue mint k10 for 250 aswell, proper old duffer spec. just need some superlites, and a big zorst..... i was thinking bike carbs tbh, or the 135bhp silver top 2.0 and b/c's?
May as well bag some GT cams for it too man. Never known of bike carbs on an SR20. Anyone done it? Do it lol - After your Cav :)

I used to have a mk1 micra, it was sh1te but slow and I had the one with the silly numberplate lights on the back.
Suspension made of sponge and rubbish up hills and the lights always fused when it was wet. The seats were quick release for those looooooove evenings.

Yeah, only just realised that myself the other day! at first I thought the sidelights didnt work, then saw that they were in the bumper!
Tbh its only a 1.0 but it does feel a bit quicker than my old 1.0 nova, it actually goes quite well!

Well as all the tyres are getting close to illegal I thought it would make more sense to get some cheap alloys rather than spending the same money buying new 145/65/12 tyres! lol lol
