is it just a case of bolting the carbs on to a manifold? do i have to use a different ignition system???

you will need to sort a throttle/choke linkage, fit a regulator or fit a facet low pressure pump, find the correct jets for the carbs to calibrate the fuel and sort out your ignition.

you either need a dizzy setup that has vacuum advance or you can run an ignition ecu setup like Megasquirt/Megajolt/dta/mbe etc.

have a word with tom ried, he's on here. Did a converison on a 1200 nova i think. He can get manifolds made etc and is full of usual advice... I'm going to get in touch with him again when i ever get round to fitting my r1 set-up on my xe :)

modify a distributor for a 1.2 carb and fit it with the coil to the 1.6
im assuming this car is a GSI? or do i have to guess?
