engine is hunting

hi all iv got a 1.2i engine in my car and it seems like its hunting for air on idle. it shudders and doesnt run smoothly, is this just the way the nova is or would an induction kit fix it?

check for air leaks or split pipes if it's injection then try cleaning the throttle body out

As above or it could just be your idle control valve is sticking and in need of a clean, remove it and blast out with carb/brake cleaner, and lube with brake fluid so ive been told.

If not it could be buggered and need replacing!

And no an induction kit would do nothing to help this, tbh an induction kit unless its a sealed one like a pipercross viper will only suck in hot air from the bay and be more derogatory than anything else!
