I went to get a quote for a re-spray today and said if you could give me a quote for a full re-spray including engine bay in LOTUS YELLOW and he said yellow, why yellow and I said coz I wanted to be different and he said the whole car would have to be stripped which would cost shed loads so I decided to go for the standard carmine red along with smooth tailgate modded arches for 17's 2 new doors etc, so if the price is right around ?2000-?2500 it will be going in to get a new lick of paint after all the shitty winter whether and will roll out the sweetest thing this side of china :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Does seem a very high price mate.

My flush boot was 100 quid second hand, then 75 to paint it - 6 coats of glacier white.

And that does seem very high if they are just doing the original colour.

When you say new doors, do you mean brand new? Its not really worth it to get new ones, I've got 2 mint doors in my garage that I paid 20 quid each for from my local scrappy.

But it is up 2 you mate.

Ant :P

The doors I have on mine at the moment are bubbly in the corners rusting from the inside out. I'm waiting till next yr then they will be on :D

he quoted me around ?300 for the tailgate to be smoothed, then to mod the arches would be about ?50 a corner then pain+prep would be around ?1000-?2000 and I'm getting the engine bay done aswell !!!!, the doors arn't brand new, got them second hand off my brothers mate and they are VERY clean, and when they get sprayed I'm gonna wax oil them underneath and inside which should prevent them from rusting

i thought ollys car paint job was expensive, but seeing his car in the flesh - and it was red as well! - top job :D might have been the bucket loads of autoglym on it though but his car looked stunning at trax.
