Go to blackcircles.com they do good deals, bought a set of s-drive yoko if you break it down its about £43 per tyre including delivery. Ive searched all the threads, the consensus is toyo's t1-r check that site:thumb: .

Ive just fitted proxes all round. No complaints at all so far
Grip well in dry and wet.

have fun once they are properly warmed up lol...
T1's seem to only be any good when the tyre profile is 30 or less

I'd recommend Kumho KU31's all day long

Really? I had Dragos on my old hatchback once and thought they were rubbish

I quite like Falken FK452/451 - grip levels were similar to the Eagle F1s I had before them, but they were pretty soft

proxis is good in the dry, but in rain the fail imo.

i currently have yokohama A539's fitted, the have good grip, but wear very fast

I had those same yoko A539s on my vec gsi, as said, they wore down quick as fook. Grip was great though, only worth 3k miles though.

Pirelli Drago's are not made any more, haven't been in production for a long time, depends what you want really, grip wise I'd choose either Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's, or Yokahama A539, although there hard to get in that size now as they have been taken over by the S-Drive.

For Distance, Economy or road noise I'd choose Pirelli P6000, though i don't think they make them in a 45 profile, think the closest you'll get is 195/50 15.

Used the toyos on my 2.0 16v track/road nova and found they were a rilliant allrounder for both. And for the money i deffinately couldnt fault them :p

Yokohama A539's Weapons. Great in the wet, but the wet at combe is a bit different.

yup found the pirrelli's good on the 16v nova for fast road, never had a problem with them!

Eagle F1 GSD 3's and Toyo T1R/S have been the best I've ever had for grip.

Dragos used to be good too on a mates 16v Clio also Pirelli P Zero Neros on another mates car seemed decent. Funny how people can never agree on tyres! I had A539's and they were dangerous in the wet IMO.

Have some Falken ones ATM, can't remember the model no. but they've been on about 3 years and haven't worn at all - maybe they would if I used the car lol

I really like the Toyo's, loads of grip on the 1/4 mile with my old T1S's, on T1R's now and can't fault them either.

I'm sure dave marshall used to run a539's on his let track car, and rated them?

Paul

a539s are next to impossible to by now.

Although the S-drives aren't bad either IMO
