Eaazee !

Basically, as with most things, it depends howmuch cash you've got. If you're like me and totally fuckin skint all the time then my best value-for-money range hasto be the Sony Xplod, as for amp.. doesn't really matter is your going cheap, get the cheapest, most powerfull one you can find. I'm using some un-heard of make... think it's called Sherwood but not sure....

There's my tupence worth!

 Later!

im using a pro plus sub and a high end long mill amp

both of which i have been told were the EXACT same as rockford fosgate kit, just rebadged up - this has been confirmed by BOTH manufacturers too.

just goes to show really dosent it! they kick ass as well IMO

(bit off topic but EVERY CD-ROM drive in EVERY computer, is ALL made by ONE japanese company, MATSHUSHITA! so why buy an expensive one when the one down the market has a different front but its internals are the SAME!)

You're way off the mark with the CD ROM's buddy I'm sorry to say :)

What Pro-Plus sub do you have?

As for ya ice Ben, you can do the whole system and a nice head unit for well under 800 including all wiring and a bit of soundproofing if you shop around, all bits could easily include kenwood/pioneer/similar makes. Best off getting yer typical max power/fast car mag and checking the ICE adverts.

i spoke to mr matshisuita himself 8)

well

thats what i was told by a very well high up IT professional anyway.

i understand there may be smaller companies making them too, but that is the MAIN monopoly

it's not far from the truth as i understand it.

you take apart any cd-rom drive and it has matsushita plastered all over it inside... i have demolished quite a few in my time trying to find that damn rattle, or where that squeek is coming from. Matsushita is certainly making most of the components for all of the ones i have been inside.

DVD / CD-R may be different... I don't know.
