considering they add water & an emulsifier to white diesel to make it low sulphur, and it knackers the injectors quicker........ this stuff is like diesel used to be.... It was so easy for the cops to pull people running on ribena cos they were the ones sailing up hills quickly

That sounds about right lol.

No mention of torque.

In terms of economy though it relies on the user not revving the nuts off the engine & using the better engine response/pickup to get better mpg.

As said though, doubtfull you'd really notice 8bhp (or whatever) esp in a derv.

I dont believe any of this miracle fuel lark (derv or petrol) I just think the regular stuff isnt what it should be. The high octane fuels are therefore sold at a premium.

In terms of average 95RON petrol, its all the same shiznit. However, the "premium" fuels do differ in that VPower/Ultimate/etc is refined differently to get a higher RON, where as supermarkets take 95RON and chuck in a load of additives to up the RON.

Fill a can of VPower and another with Tesco Super99. After a week, measure the RON, I can guarantee the Tescos fuel will have dropped considerably compared to the Shell fuel.

we use total petrol in our car. the supermarket stuff did about 10% less mpg & the performance was poor, the car just felt flat. 10% less economy versus 3% less cost.........

Actually I do notice a difference when running mine on V-Power or Ultimate derv, particularly when overtaking at high speed. There's not much point in revving the nuts off mine other than to clear the soot out, it pulls from 1500rpm to about 3500 lol.

Fair play. I'm all for being proved wrong.

No probs. I'd have agreed with you until I got the mundano, its much more sensitive to what fuel is in it than my nova was.
