View Full Version : How to measure Exhaust gases in coolant

Does any one know what the tool /messuring equipment would be called that measures if there are any exhaust gasses present in the coolant system?

Ive see one used, the guy just pushed it against the opening of the header tank while the engine was running, but ive no idea what it might be called!

Ive always called it the sniffer lol, im presuming its not the proper name. I guess you mean the thing with colourd fluid that changes colour?

Coolant Sniffer is the most popular name for it.

block tester is another name for the above kit mac/snap-on sell it.
