engine conversion question (emissions)

i'm planning on throwing my 1300 carb'd motor in a corsa, but how would i go about proving the age of the engine come mot time? i think i still have my old nova logbook, would that be proof enough?

yep, but get a k or early l reg one just in case....

If the logbook has a matching engine number, should be. Or just get Vauxhall to check it and confirm the date of manufacture.

Is that free to do or would they charge a premium for doing nearly naff all same as a diagnostics check etc? lol

can you not get period of manufacture from the engine number? jus a thought

its a carb motor so wont be as bad as a cat test etc
