Well took delivery of a 1983 Y reg nova today, some of you may of seen it for sale on here recently by andrew1988, car is very solid, bodywork isnt exatcly concourse but im yet to find a hole or serious rust, just the odd dent and scratch! chucked my 60mm springs on, will hopfully get some pics up tomorrow

Nice purchase mate! Can't beat a suffix plate :) I haven't seen any pics of that Nova in question for ages!

yeh the shell is very good, was having a good look and poke around yesterday and im really happy with the shell itself! it could do with some bodywork attention but nothing major really, just a few niggly bits. and i love the fact its on a suffix plate with the one mirror etc, possibly one of the oldest on here?

tidy the bump strip marking's and lower it 60mm all round job done,very nice colour,looks pretty much same as mine(calypso red)???there not markings, they are little studs which can only be removed by a grinder. so my advice would be to try and get hold of another set of bump strips, much easier said than done tho obviously.

its not calypso red, its like a bronze colour.... already done the 60mm drop, alesios on the way, and i want some bump strips but so hard to find!

well, put a new fuel pump on today, got it running (its pretty loud actually) as there is no backbox thanks to the lil side exit lol, only to find that the head hadnt been pulled down propperly and it was pissing water out! all sorted now though
