strip it, put a cage in, an 16xe and stick it on a track.

Thats what I would do.

LET needed, don't bother with a slow XE again as you'll only end up taking it out to fit a LET in the end :D

advertise it, you should never need to advertise a car like that, its a word of mouth car :)

It was nice to see you guys come down, spose i better find a reason to pop north for a change at some point :D The big question is Andy, was the trip home fun, going back to standard 1.2 brakes and a 4 speed box? lol lol

As regards what you should do with it, given the fact i know half the idiots that are going to spanner attack it with you i am sure whatever the outcome it will be awesome :thumb:

One thing i can assure you all is that mk2 bits will be definitly be staying away from this car, i love the old school mark 1 originality :thumb:

Yeah some of the people spanner attacking it with me dont half know their stuff so a project thread will be up and running shortly!

Yeah Dan the drive back was great, only on fuel though, everything else about it was, erm, interesting haha :wtf:

Flare the arches, smooth everything you can lower it lots and lots and get some deepdish wheels Dont paint it blue mind.

If a gsi front bumper or speedlines go anywhere near that car i will personally Come to your house and take the car away using nothing more than my hands and a small screwdriver :D

andy_017

dont worry rexton i promise none of that will go near it!

and yes lee you must be one of the idiots mwahaha :thumb:

It is so good & original that I'd say keep it as it is.
you should get in touch with tv car hire companies in case they are doing a late eighties drama

yeah but its still a nova, and novas are pretty shat to be fair... Just makes it a more sensible base to play with solid shell FTW :)

Cant believe Dan flogged this - its absolutely mint. He spent about a hour at last years national day explaining how theres a slight fade on the drivers door where it'd stood in an OAP's garage for ages and the sun had shon through the window fading just part of the door! lol

The only rust we could find was a small nobble on the inner lip of one of the rear arches - it was that mint!

What ever you do to it - it deserves respect for staying clean so long.

Also I think if you wreck it Dan will sit on your head!

lol
