1.2 carb to 1.4 sr

poss future mod. what would i need to change to accomodate the 1.4 shizzle.
from what i can think of, just ignition and fuel line side of things ?
if the 1.4 has an f13 box, will that go straight in on the 1.2 mounts ?
and one more.. i cant stand the auto choke on the 2e carbs, how much would i be looking at for a manual choke kit and are they fairly easy to install ? (wonder if i can use the existing choke cable, hmm)

Fuel lines are the same. F13's fit onto 1.2's fine using the same mounts and everything, just need to chop gearstick lug for 5th.

You would be better off finding a 1.3 inlet to run the 1.4 carb (or 1.3 carb) as it has the same ports (not square 1.4 stuff)

Agree. Get hold of a Weber 32/34 carb which is manual choke & a better operating unit, aswell as in terms of power .

The auto chokes were (past tense) always fine until they get old & play up so don't assume thay are all crap.

fuel lines plumb straight onto the carb do they ? nice.

ill need a throttle cable too prob, might have one with the engine if im lucky.

the 1.4's free, anything else will cost me money which i dont have.
not looking to mod it at the mo, keeping it simple and standard for now.
whats it like on the wiring front, does anything even need to be changed ?
