I'm just trying to decide myself. I have manual windows now, I got GSi door cards today and I don't know whether I want to cut a hole in them for the winder or not!

electric all the way too. manual is for poverty nova's lol
polycarb ftw i say. if i had to choose i think i would go with manual i just think thay are easyer
Installing leccy windows is really easy, its all plug and play - you just need drill out the old mechanisms and pop-rivet the new ones in..iirc there a wire into the fuse box and an earth by the handbrake, thats about it!

some base nova's also need the holes driled through the doors and pillar :thumb: they are centre punched.
Manual for me, cant be arsed with electrics, more to go wrong.
Where the burgo option, you suck at polls lol
Well i have both and im happy with both
The only problem with electric windows is the need to drill the body and doors if its a model without them.
But easy enough.
wheres the perspex option?
dont cut the door cards just for windey up wndows, but my GSi ones that have holes in already ;)
edit - actually ill do you a straight swap kev, my GSi cards with winder holes for your GSi without holes

If you park up with other people often, it's a pain to keep switching on the ignition to use the windows.
Not sure I would de-spec my car but I have often wished I had manual windows at times.

Maybe rewire the switched live to a permanent live?

i've got electric and im changing them for perspex with sliders!
Electric are great, but they sometimes get a bit stuck, nothing a little brute force doesn't sort out though, lol!

I had intended on sticking with the manual, but now I'm gonna go for the leccy jobs. Don't mind a bit of wiring myself anyway so, I'll tear into it soon.
Keep fit windows suck imo, teh hardest part of fitting them is as said drilling teh holes in teh A pillars and doors but you could pikey fit them as i have once before by running wiring for them inside and behind teh door cards, i couldnt ba a*** to pull teh doors off to get in properly to drill lmao.
But wiring side of things is damned easy, and you can screw regs in using wing bolts so making them easily removable and erasing need for a rivet gun!
Btw cav has electric one touch windows (inc sunroof, omega motor FTW) so im more than happy:thumb:

I have manual which I like as its less weight but if you see a mate on the other side of the road, you'll like like a right tool stretching over the passenger seat trying to roll the window down, so electric is deffo a cool touch.
Not good if you are stripping your ride but good for convienience. And need to do some driling and wiring up which sometimes I dont really wanna do.
I would consider sticking elec windows in once the LET is in so I dont slow down the car lol
