i seen a car in the projects and he had put turrets in the back for his suspensions what are they for and can i buy a set or do i have to make them :thumb:

they are for a conversion to coilovers.

no, you modify the turret so it will take nova specific rear coilovers. it is not going to be an easy job

The reason you do it is to create more room.

Coilovers will bolt straight on to most novas with maybe a slight bit of hammering to the inner arch in places. People like to fit the turrets to add a bit more strength and to move the strut away from the tyre so you can run a wider wheel.

If you're fitting coilovers on a road car and don't have clearance issuesI wouldn't worry about it.

My car was rotten as a pear, so turreted it for that reason & also as its a trick mod for the shell.

I dont like beating things with big hammers either, with the AVO's I was still having issues with tyre rub on the springs, but thats more likely a GM/Nova beam tolerance issue. You dont need to make lots of room for the coilovers but I feel my shell is suitable for even the Grp-A Bilstein gravel spec stuff now.
