at the moment im running the usual gte/gsi shafts with big block inners
when i bought the XE out of a CAV SRI 16V it came with the shafts which are i belive to be equal length would i be able to use these shafts if i bought the big block hubs or what would need doing

my bro has done a redtop into a tigra and he had to buy a convertions(sp) hubs off ebay to run the cally shafts. i think it is this way round. i am not sure if the cav ones are any diffrent

Is the track of a Nova the same as a Cav? No.

Therefore, you cannot use longer Cav shafts.

Proper XE shafts with the correct CV's.

proper shafts are probably available or you could take all the bits to a local lorry propshaft repair place & get them to cut them down, reweld them & ballance them..... either way, it will cost you several hundred quid

Ok you can use the equal shaft setup!

You will need to use the first section of the equal shaft (upto where it bolts on the block).

You will need big block hubs, then give chris astley a ring to order the conversion shafts. Tell him you want to run equal length and he can supply the right length long shaft to suit. Same cost as a normal long shaft.

They arent listed on his site, you will have to ring and speak to him.
