1.4SR distributor / cam drive problems.

I have fitted a new competition motor to my Nova racer but have a problem with the distributor. The replacement motor has a PMC13RR cam with the old type slotted cam drive. My distributor has the newer plug and hole type drive. I need my old distributor for the coil trigger so it has to stay, is there any way of converting the distributor to be driven by the older cam?
I noticed that the distributor has a plastic drive held on by a C pin, can this be removed and converted with one from an old distributor?

looking at the EPC yes i believe so
